I think the comments can be quite interesting. Some people provide valuable insight whilst others provide a comforting ear, Or should that be ‘eye’ as we are reading rather than hearing? Sometimes people say things that we don’t want to hear but maybe we need to hear it to make us question our perception of things. And then there are the more etreme comments which say more about the commenter than what they are commenting on.
Did you have a particular article in mind and would you like to share it? I am curious.
I would not share my story on FB as it attracts all sorts of people, including some completely ignorant people who feel the need to judge others. Perhaps it’s time for your friend start culling her FB friends?
I don’t blame the many for the actions of a few. And when going public I accept that anyone can read my posts and comment. And I will respond to those I disagree with rather than deleting their comment.
sorry, I misunderstood. I smirk at some of the ignorant comments and wonder if they lack the insight to realise that their lack of empathy may reflect their own issues. I don’t let them get to me.
I am in total agreement. I should know better, too.

A friend posted this on her Facebook wall. After reading several of the comments, I lost faith in humanity.

It wasn’t Facebook comments, it was the comments on that page I shared with you.
